Andrea Medeiros

She studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry (1991-1998) in the School of Chemistry, and performed later her PhD on glycobiology and oncology at the School of Medicine (1999-2004). Since 2000 she is Assistant Professor from the Biochemistry Department, Universidad de la República. Andrea joined the lab in middle 2008 as post-doc working on the biological characterization of trypanothione syntethase from T. brucei and T. cruzi, and inhibitors thereof.
